ABOUT PATERNITY & RELATIONSHIP TESTING G enQuest offers relationship testing to prove paternity, maternity, and other family relationships. Our court admissible tests can be used for many legal reasons and for US Embassies, US Citizenship and Immigration Services, and other US Government agency purposes. For more information about how our tests can be used for US Government agency purposes, please visit GenQuest Immigration . Visit our Types of Relationships page to find out about the types of relationships GenQuest can test. PERSONAL KNOWLEDGE Personal Knowledge tests are ideal for individuals who just need to know for peace of mind. Although these tests do not fall under the scope of GenQuest’s AABB accreditation, and therefore the results of such tests cannot be used in a court of law, the samples follow the same stringent testing process as court admissible test samples and are treated exactly the same in the laboratory environment. Sample collection for Personal Knowledge tests can be done in the comfort of your own home, and these tests are affordable and easy to order. To order a Personal Knowledge test, please visit our Order page. COURT ADMISSIBLE Court Admissible tests follow all guidelines and standards for relationship testing as set forth by the AABB accrediting body and are performed for legal purposes such as to add or remove a potential father from a birth certificate, to obtain or end child support payments, or for custody purposes. Collections must be performed by an unbiased third party. GenQuest can arrange DNA collections all over the US, and if any participants reside in the Reno/Sparks area of Nevada, they can come to the GenQuest facility in Sparks for a free collection. To begin the process for a Court Admissible test, please visit our Order page or contact GenQuest to discuss your testing needs. GenQuest does not have any authority to require anyone to be included in a DNA test. If any other participant(s) refuse to be involved, GenQuest cannot proceed with testing and you may need to obtain a court order. However, GenQuest does accept Nonstandard Samples for personal knowledge tests if you have access to anything that has been handled by the other participant(s). Visit our Identification and Infidelity page for more information. For information on how GenQuest accepts nonstandard samples for court admissible tests, please visit our Estate Protection or Legal Forensics pages.
